CNY at Genting,

Went to school with my skin-peeling-off-nose, terrible horrible very the scaryble. Told people I got sunburnt at genting, don't think anybody believed lor, even I myself don't really believe what I say. I hate sunburn, why am I always getting sunburnt !?!?!??!?!?!?!


In just one day I've woken up, got into reality. I can't believe 1 day ago I was still breathing cool mountain air 6000feets above KL -_-'' Anyway read Jiamin and Clara's favourite book, Cirque De Freak, hope I didn't spell wrong.

Vampires book, don't think it will be boring, maybe borrowing the first book tomorrow.


Watch people put out fire @ parade square, one whole wok of oil on fire or something. Walked back home after that, whole mind was filled with the cool breeze :'(

Just now when I was bathing, mum came with a bowl of meesiam and ask me to try it cause she said that it was so nice that she's afraid that she'll finish everything without letting me try.

Nice mum right ^^ So I tried the meesiam in the bathroom - definitely a special place to try eating something with shampoo still on my head.




When I've finished the meesiam in the bathroom, mum came back and asked me :

mum : YEE, 我问你阿

(5seconds later........)

mum : eh 我要问你什么了阿 (mumble and laugh to herself)
me : 这样也可以忘记 !



Until now, I've receive zero angpaos from my relatives in singapore, but still have some ringgits from lovely relatives from malaysia HEHEHE, somehow 'relative' seems like a very distant word to describe them. Shall still call them ahyi, beryi, hector yang, waipo, gongong !

Both of my neighbours gave me $20 each, oh okay at least there's still a relative in singapore that has a good heart, my faraway cousin, $20 too.

Dad gave $100 but I gave it back to him, through mum. What's the point after all, it's still his money her money and my money. All the money at home all belongs to the three of us, give here give there in the end also our own money right.

Conclusion for CNY : Pathetic $60 for angpao lui, thanks ah. Not the end yet, CNY have much more meaningful things for me to do, rather to play. :D




13th February to 15th February.



Was just 4 days ago and I've forgotten almost all the details. Shit me. Must rememberrrrrrrrrrr. Woke up around11.30pm or so, we started on our journey around 12pm. When we reached Tuas, was so happy that there wasn't any custom jam.

See the bridge so empty happy already.

And we were proven wrong after all. Still remember the time when we realized we're jammed, 12.28pm.

HOHOHO, lucky laoniang got prepare a disc of songs, mostly Lady gaga and 4 songs by DCW ! Two of them were Gou Ai of course ! Don't know why mum can guess that the songs were from Ko3anguo, sang for 15minute and got sian already.

Finally after 2 hours of jamming, we finally get a peek of the malaysia checkpoint. Really is CNY cannot come malaysia one ): FINALLY OUT OF ALL THE JAMMING !

WE ARE FREE TO DRIVE AGAIN !

As usual, always looking out of the window to see the highway until I get bored of it, see nice mountains with clouds, snap a picture.

Dad told us that usually it will only take us 5 hours at most to reach genting, but after all the jammings, he said we can only reach genting when night falls. So since we know we're not gonna make it there in the afternoon, can slack slack abit already.

Stopped at some stops, mum made kopi for dad, she even brought along thermal flask, kopi powder, cups/spoons and more. Wonderwoman of packing luggage. (Y)

Beryi also gave us bird nest for CNY, so is like exchanging the same gifts !?

Also ate some raisin bread or something brought by mum. She even brought along the muji potato chips that was such a big packet, so leychey to bring along lor.

Tried to keep myself awake throughout the journey, still have to fall asleep between melaka to KL's journey. Always is miss out melaka one. Woke up and we've already reached KL ! Toilet break at Esso.

And we're on our way to Genting !

Fun to see the temperature decrease while we got higher and higher. From 34degree to 19degree, NICE I LOVE GENTING'S WEATHER ! Opened the window to enjoy the cool breeze :D


Halfway through, saw genting on the peak !

Night was falling, so the sky was of course beautiful since it's sunset, the most beautiful time of everyday. Snapped some pictures again !

I love taking nice photos, I don't want to regret not snapping the photo whenever I see nice things that I think I should capture it on my laopokpok camera. I know after I took the photo, it will change and it won't be the same as it was in the photo. So taking a picture of it keeps like a memory about the photo I've taken before it changes.

Omg what talking me again !?

Don't know if this means that I am interested in photography, or I am just interested in taking nice photos :/

Nevertheless, I still love taking photos ! Think the most important reason why I take photos should be like to keep the photos as a form of memories for me.


Next time when my hair turns grey and my teeth are all dropping, I can look back at my blog, look at myself when I was still a 16year old kid, remembering every single details that I tried to remember blogging about it, look back at the photos I took with dad and mum...... and think of the glorious days of a Heroine named Tan Sien Yee back in the 2000s.


AHAHA I have serious issues of talking to myself here I know, my blog is for me to remember what I did in the past what, so no problem. ;)


After much spinning of stars in my head, finally reached Genting ! Checked in Resort Hotel, 1st time booking that hotel. Can only say it's X1000000000 better than First world.

Stayed at 16th floor, # 16101 !

When we're still in the car, I told dad one day Genting won't be so cold anymore, so many cars and people and hotels, enough to kill the weather there. But I was wrong anyway, genting's still as cold, as nice, as fun.

Took our turns to bath, changed into warmer clothes, chose not to wear the leggings cause I want to feel the colddddddddddddd. Also took a family picture ! :D

All three of us got damn damn damn damn damn hungry cause we only had bread in the afternoon. Took the lift to B5 and reached Old Town ! Great, it's just below our hotel. I LIKE ! Don't even have to look at the menu, all 3 of us had in mind what we want to eat already.

After dinner, mum wanted to get some jackets from the car, so asked dad where he parked the car. And dad was dumbfounded I guess. So we went on an adventure to search for our car in the 5 floors carpark.

Got very cold after that without the leggings, kept reminding myself of the perspiring me walking back home, squeezing mrt with people, what is this cold then !? And somehow it works, cause I want to cherish the cold :(

Asked mum if there's air coming out from my mouth when I talk, she -.-'' , I really wish one day when I talk, I get to see air coming out from my mouth, like so cool lor !

After about 1 hour, finally found our car at B1A. After that we went separate ways, dad went to the casino while mum and I walked around First world time square.

B.U.M equipment , voir, padini concept store, and then finally the CD shop which glued my eyes to the TVB discs. So much tvb dramas to catch up on, want watch Burning Flames III !

Went to check the cinema time slot for 72 Tenants of Prosperity, 12.30am. Mum said she was too tired to watch already, so we made our way back to Resort hotel, always have to go pass Starwalk, the long bridge that have a complete view of the themepark *excited to play tmrw*

HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR !

Day 2 !


Woke up around 9am, was really very very very cold in the morning. but same old idea, think of the stupid hot weather that I always have to walk home perspiring, everything'll be fine :) Old Town for breakfast as usual !


This time wore leggings, smart already. :D

Have been asking dad and mum to see if there's air coming out from my mouth now and then when I talk, finally there is !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! First noticed it when dad was talking, so I keep doing the ''HARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR'' just to see if there's air, there really is !


Tried taking a picture of it but think fail lah :/ Lips very dry lor.

Was getting colder and colder, so went to get the uniqlo grey jacket from car. Can camouflage also ! Mum accompanied me to buy the tickets for themeaprk, RM59 for Adults, but they charged me RM44 instead. Height like that can be a good thing after all (GOOD)


So got the tag on my wrist, waved byebye to my mum, reminded each other that we'll meet at Themepark hotel at 11.45am.


And then I entered..... MY WORLD ! Just like how Qingyun enter Onisac in Dicey Business ! Will smile to myself and OMG to myself also. First ride is always this one, since it's the 1st ride from the entrance also.

It's been so long since I hear people WOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, I also WOOOOOOOOOOOOO along with them HEHEHE ! Nobody know me also whatttttttttttttttt.

FINALLY ON MY FIRST RIDE YIPPEEEEEEEEE !

At first when I first reached for the seat, I totally forogtten how to like unbuckle the thing and sit inside. Everyone's like ready for the ride already and I was the only one trying to figure out how to unbuckle the metal.


Lucky I remembered before everyone start to stare at me with the wtf look.



This ride's not my favourite ride, but ranks top 5 I guess. Love the feeling when the seats all rise and everyone start to scream, then it started to turn and fly, woooo love the feeling. Hate it when they slow down, totally giddy already.


Hmm after that walked all the way left to my favourite ride, ranks No. 1 ! Because not many people know about this ride cause the entrance is at the back, some uloo uloo place. Managed to play 3 times without queuing up at all !

Chose the back seat.

Time's almost up, so went over to Themepark hotel to meet mum after that. Dad was there too. They showed me the new hotel room that we checked in, #9214 ! Dad told me he can see KLCC and KL tower from our room.

I thought it was a joke.














But it was true !!!!!!!!!!







Took me a whole 10minute standing there to find KLCC lor ! Really can see it, if only I've better and sharper eyes.

Mum keep telling me to look beyond the furthest mountain that I can see, her method didin't work cause I spotted KLCC under some very cute cloud :')

AHAHA, brought along my 2008 birthday present and chouchou of course ! Decided to go First world again to see the time slots for movie.


Before that, had lunchbreak at Richdad, RM6.90 desserts -
Ginko barley and Bubur Hitam, yummy ! Also ate claypot rice.

Not very yummy though...........


Went to queue for the movie tickets for 72 Tenants of Prosperity, 12.45am show !

Was around 2pm, going back to the themepark again ! Shall let dad and mum to have a chance to reminisce their honeymoon in genting AHAHAHAHA anyhow one. Wanted to try Flying Coaster but still didn't have the courage to, swear I'll try it the next time I go Genting.




Afternoon, everyone queuing up for rides, so went to Dinosaurland instead, everyone have their friends couples families to take pictures for them, only me take myself -____________-''

Managed to find one kind soul who helped me took the photos below,
she seems to be alone too, so I asked her if she want to take a photo but she shook her head.

Didn't wear the flats in the afternoon cause the size like keep expanding, mum say it's because of the cold weather. Don't know also. Hate to wear leggings with slippers so eeeeeeeeewwwwww. Mum just bought a size 36 same flats for me because size 37 was too big !


WTF $19 say not expensive not expensive but say not cheap also not cheap leh ! Why buy the same pair of flats just because I can't wear size 37 ):

Next stop, went to what Spacelab cause there wasn't much people queuing up for that though I know it's about a hundred or over people queuing. The most retarded ride ever.


Thought it was some roller coaster, turned out to be something giddy and stupid YUCKIE. Can only cheat kid's feelings lor this ride. Scare kids with aliens aiyoyo.

After all, long queues are meant to be queued after all............... Never been on Corkscrew in daytime so I decided to give it a try.

Halfway through already !

The place where I got my sunburn, was wishing that the cool breeze will be able to win the hot sun cause there wasn't any clouds to shield poor people like me from the sun. And still have to stand and queue until like that !

But after all, the one hour of queue was worth it, cause I managed to get the 1st seats WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO ! LOVE FIRST SEATS OF ROLLER COASTERS !

But I still love roller coaster rides.

That's it, queued for 1 hour just to sit for that 1 minute of ride. SIAN ! Wanted to try Spaceshot cause I have never played in the daytime but was sick of all the queue already. So went to ride on the lamest ride ever,

Went back to Themepark hotel after that to meet mum, was tired also after all the ''sunbathingqueuing'' . Had a good long bath after that NICE !


Dad was taking a nap, mum also fall asleep after that.

so I snatched bed with mum HEHEHE.

When we woke up, it was already like 7.30pm, there goes half of my themepark ticket $ haiyoyo. Bathed and change into new clothes. Went to First world again for dinner. Didn't know what to eat for CNY ''re-union'' dinner, settled at a restaurant named Flavors, very hongkong-like cafe.

Their carrot cake is 一级棒!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

While having dinner, beryi called and said she will be reaching genting in 45minute time cause she just left her house. After our dinner, we went Old Town to wait for beryi, saw her but didn't really have much time to talk to her cause I was going in themepark, ony left with 1 hour to play before it closes.

So went back to the themepark, saw Braces kia while walking to flying dragon. Played Flying Dragon twice, still have to wait for enough people before the ride can start. In daytime, the queue can be so long -___________- See, smart people play themepark at night !


People from genting come from all over the world, having different languages. But the cool part is, everyone have a common language in the themepark, which is : WOOOOOOOOO


No matter what ride I'm on, I will always WOOOOOOOOO out loud and when others WOOOOOOOO too, I WOOOOOOOOO even louder. Then when the roller coaster goes faster abit, everyone starts to WOOOOOOOOOO together. So fun !

While we were on flying dragon, a couple below was playing the Log ride, they waved and cheered for us when they are ''climbing up to slide down'' , then lots of people, including me waved and WOOOOO back to them when they're about to slide down. It's like, we don't know each other, but yet can be so happy even just by waving.

Saw Braces Kia again at corkcscrew again, super envy lor, can come genting with friends, O level also finish already, AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. Played corkscrew thrice !

Got to know a malay friend too, cause both of us were the only one who were without partners, so the person told us to sit at the back. 2nd ride also like that. Maybe he wasn't that bad as I thought he was, read on later !

Then suddenly he blabbered one whole chunk of malay to me, I wish I could understand and reply back too. Sadly I can't :( So told him I don't understand malay, and I can see he don't really understand my english too.

All these happened before the each of the roller coaster ride starts, so is divided by 3 times cause I played corkscrew thrice. At that time, I was really afraid that he might be some stalker or whatever cause after all, it's still not my own country, mum also say malaysia 治安 not good. But I think it was cool to communicate with someone who doesn't understand my mother tongue but can understand simple hand signs and english ^^



So after the ride, I walked off quickly, don't dare to look back at all, went to queue for Cyclone, can hide among the crowd. So paranoid (anyhow use) .

Anyway love it when the roller coaster is going up, can see all the stars ! Also a way to calm myself down by looking at the stars while the roller coaster goes up slowly, IF I am nervous. Even without my specs I can see like more than 10 stars above the sky, so beautiful ! I wish I could wear my specs on the ride so that I can see more clearly.


So Cyclone was my last ride of the day :'(

Replied braces kia sms about the fireworks thingy, already watched the day before ^^ The last ride ended so fastttttttttttttttt.

Went back to the hotel room and waited for dad to come back from casino. As usual, nothing to do = take photos time !

Dad called and said he wanted to recoup his losses so will meet us later. Decided to go for a walk with mum then ! This time not First world already ! Went to see cable cars :D


Long long long time no sit, ever since mum vomitted after the cable car trip :( She said she can't feel her feet when the cable car is dangling in the air.

Went back to the O2jam/Pizza/Youcharkway place to takeaway - fries, 2 pcs chicken wings and 2 you char kways.

While waiting, same old things to do :

Went back to hotel room after that and found dad. He told me he lost RM3200. Got emo after that then he told me he only lost RM700. Also alot leh !


I used to love eating their youcharkway as a kid, but now it doesn't taste that nice anymore, maybe it's my braces cause I cannot bite and tear it with my teeth :'l Mum couldn't finish the youcharkway too so she threw away one of them.

People in haiti are suffering and we are throwing away food that are edible. Haiz !

Around 12.30am, made our way to First world and went into the cinema for 72 Tenants of Prosperity :D:D:D:D

The movie was nice of course , especially their cantonese ! Learn quite alot of bad words in there too. PORK KAI AND HUMKALIN. I didn't know that ugly fishball lady was actually Bernice Liu ! OMGOMGOMG DAMN OMG.

I thought that lady was from one of those funny ugly characters from stephen chow's movie or something, but she turned out to be bernice liu SIAO. Endng was nice, Myolie and Bosco ! ^^


Their CNY song is still stuck in my head even till now, gong xi gong xi gong xi gong xi ni !

Went back to Themepark hotel, saw some very nice scenery, with the stars and night lights of KL city. There was seriously a lot of stars that night, think got 20 over lor. Then the sky was partially bright due to the KL lights, with the shadows of the mountains, and a whole sky full of stars.

I really wished I had a better camera at that time so that I can capture all the stars and all. Some of the times I really wish I have a DSLR or whatever camera that have got at least more megapixels than my 5 megapixels camera.


But most of the time, I really wished that my eyes can be my camera, so that I can capture what my eyes actually see. I want a camera that can snap a picture of stars, CAN !?

Fell asleep thinking of the peaceful scenery.......


Finally, it's Day 3 !


Woken up by mum and dad, they told me the clouds were very cute and said that I confirm will want to take a picture of it. They're so right ! THE CLOUDS LOOK SO CUTE !

Walked back from the gardenia to themepark hotel to see the jackets that beryi gave me, got angpao got free jackets and jeans, not bad not bad ^^ Took a picture of Spaceshot, really kinda regret not playing this year.

Walked to First world hotel lobby, as crowded as usual. Mum wanted to go watson so we made our way there. Suddenly, someone tapped my shoulder, I turned around...........



AND SAW THE MALAY FRIEND ! He waved his hand and smiled, so I smiled and waved my hand back. At that moment, I no longer have the impression that he's a stalker or whatever, just a friend that I got to know who comes from malaysia !

Kinda regret not asking if he got facebook, if not I can have a penpal from malaysia leh ! But just kept telling myself, really got fate to meet, sure will meet for the 3rd time.

Actually these few years I've made like 3 friends in genting since I'm always alone in the themepark, so confirm will need to share seats with people. 2008, I met two girls from Penang, they were the one who encouraged me to sit Spaceshot with them ^^ Cause just nice 3 person, can play Spaceshot. After that I gave them my msn they gave me theirs too,tried emailing them when I got back to SG but they didn't reply me even till now !


1 more friend is a girl who's afraid of playing roller coaster, so she see me alone and asked if she can sit with me. AHAHAHA OF COURSE CAN, SO HAPPY LOR !

Next time hope I can go Genting with my own friends :D

Head was spinning around stars when going down the hills/mountains, almost wanted to vomit when mum ask me if I need plastic bag. Soon, the cold breeze is gone, see the temperature drop from 19 degree all the way to 33 degree WTF.

Finally reached KL, got so dizzy that I gave up trying to focus on the road infront, instead I just closed my eyes and fell asleep after that, with jacket as blanket , very cosy ^^ Woke up to find out that we are already far from KL and reaching malacca already.


Mum took out one of the box of carrot cake for me !

Stopped at a resting place after about 20km, it was already sunset. The cars were all jamming cause all wanna queue for Petronas. Saw the beautiful sunset, couldn't resist not taking them with my camera, so told dad and mum I go to the fence there to take some photos then come back to the car again.

Really will regret not taking all these pictures,
don't think will get to see such nice scenery for this year already.



And in just 5minute time, the sun was gone, sky turned darker too.



Went to Gelang Patah to see if there's any coffee shop still opened,
CNY LAH ! Nothing to eat one.

Highway back to singapore was a very dark journey, after all the sunset :(
Couldn't see any stars too.

BUT !

WE SAW 3 FIREWORKS ALONG THE WAY !
SO COOL :D


Think one of the fireworks came from Pontian, the other two not sure.

Skipskipskip, reached singapore Tuas around 11pm, no jam YAY !



So finally, we reached home around 12am or something,
feels like I'be been to a very good dreamy place, feels like my trip never existed irl.



Was eating this mini sandwich that mum have been making for the past few days,
VERY CUTE AND TASTY, I LIKE !


Actually it's just the same old bread that mum've been making for me the past few years,
just that she cut it into smaller pieces or something to attract me to eat?
